PADI Emergency First Response PADI Emergency First Response Course

The PADI EFR course provides hands-on first aid training. It prepares you to safely provide primary and secondary care during the critical period between the onset of a life-threatening emergency and the arrival of professional medical help.

Prerequisites
• Minimum age: 15 years

Course Structure
• Theory via PADI eLearning

• 14 skills

     Primary Care Skills:
  1. Assess the situation
  2. Use of protective equipment
  3. Primary survey
  4. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  5. Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
  6. Severe bleeding management
  7. Shock management
  8. Spinal injury procedures
  9. Choking response
  10. Emergency oxygen orientation
     Secondary Care Skills:
  1. Assessing injuries
  2. Assessing illnesses
  3. Applying bandages
  4. Splinting dislocations, sprains, and fractures
• 5 practice scenarios

What Will You Learn?

In the PADI Emergency First Response course, you will learn to act quickly and safely in emergencies. You will practice CPR and learn to effectively relieve pain. You will recognize various injuries and illnesses and respond correctly. Additionally, you will learn to apply bandages and splints properly – ensuring that you are fully prepared in a real-life emergency.
